……this is SO similar to what is happening over in the UK right now… the UK version of the HRC is an organisation called (ironically) Stonewall which has also seen protests against it’s lack of inclusion of all queer and trans communities, backing down on equal marriage rights and co-opting the wishes of sponsors over the civil rights agenda, it’s also been accused of being a vote-gaining tool of the New Labour party (similar to the democrats) and has many dubious connections to the political left and also shares many of the same commercial sponsors with the HRC such as IBM and a number of banking corporations.

That can’t be right. HRC repeatedly says their Dinners are bringing in record breaking receipts this year.

Jeez – if true – they must really be in sad shape. Tens of millions in the buget – can’t spare $10,000 for what they call the most important election for the community in our lifetimes. While funding Obama’s opposition.

Must be another of those complicated, inside the beltway equations that the rest of us don’t have the math for.
